INFORMATION FOR AUTHORS — EUROPEAN DATA SCIENCE JOURNAL (EDSJ)

WHAT TYPES OF ARTICLES ARE ACCEPTED?
EDSJ accepts:
— Original Research Articles (5,000–10,000 words)
— Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (6,000–12,000 words)
— Case Studies (3,000–6,000 words)
— Technical Reports (3,000–6,000 words)
— Short Communications (1,500–3,000 words)
All submissions must address topics within the scope of data science, machine learning, AI, analytics, or data-driven interdisciplinary research.
SUMMARY OF THE SUBMISSION PROCESS
1. Read the full Author Guidelines carefully before preparing your manuscript
2. Register for an account at https://esa-research.org/index.php/EDSJ (or log in if already registered)
3. Click "Make a Submission" and follow the five-step submission wizard
4. Upload your manuscript file, complete the metadata, confirm the submission checklist, and submit
5. You will receive an automated acknowledgement email confirming receipt
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER SUBMISSION?
After submission, your manuscript enters the following process:
1. Initial editorial screening (scope, quality, formatting, ethics compliance) — typically within 3–5 days
2. Plagiarism check using iThenticate
3. If approved, assignment to two or more independent peer reviewers
4. Reviewer reports received and editorial decision made — target: 21 days from submission
5. Decision communicated to corresponding author with full reviewer feedback
6. If revision required, author submits revised manuscript and response letter
7. Final acceptance and production (typesetting, DOI assignment, publication) — typically within 7 days of acceptance

APC INFORMATION
EDSJ is a Gold Open Access journal sustained by Article Processing Charges (APCs), levied only upon formal acceptance. No charge applies at submission.
