Abstract

Many public companies, especially in the financial industry, are in need of an enterprise AI framework that supports integrated real-time accounting, risk control, and derivatives lifecycle automation. Traditional batch-oriented architectures impede real-time event tracking and the pervasive embedding of AI into enterprise systems, applications, and processes. Such event tracking, AI embedding, and complete support of an enterprise's data governance, security, and regulatory-controllership requirements are essential for fully realizing the opportunities of the AI-driven economy.

The framework introduced here comprises a data ingestion and integration layer together with a real-time accounting engine that automatically generates transactional records in parallel to business events. Such records support accurate risk control and facilitate the automation of the complete lifecycle of financial derivatives, including initial trade, funding, calculation of fixings, settlements and cash flows, to termination, payoffs, and reporting. The framework is validated by demonstrating its real-time risk-control capabilities for commodity-price-related derivatives trading operations of a sample enterprise.
