Author Guidelines

Author Guidelines — EAJET

1. Scope

EAJET publishes original research articles, systematic/scoping reviews, technical communications, short reports, and applied case studies in engineering, applied sciences, and emerging technologies.

2. Manuscript Types & Length

3. Manuscript Preparation

  • File format: Microsoft Word (.docx) or LaTeX (.tex with .pdf).
  • Font/Spacing: Times New Roman, 12pt, 1.5 line spacing, A4 page, 1-inch margins.
  • Structure: Title, Author(s) & Affiliations, Abstract, Keywords (4–6), Introduction, Materials/Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgements, Conflict of Interest, Funding, References.
  • Title page: Submitted separately (blinded review) — full title, author names/affiliations/ORCID, corresponding author contact.
  • Figures/Tables: Numbered sequentially, captioned, cited in text, high-resolution (≥300 dpi) images submitted as separate files.
  • Equations: Numbered consecutively in parentheses on the right margin.

4. Referencing Style

EAJET uses IEEE numbered citation style. In-text citations appear as [1], [2], etc., listed in order of appearance, with full reference details in the bibliography.

5. Ethics & Originality

  • Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.
  • Plagiarism is checked via similarity-detection software; overall similarity should not exceed 15–20%.
  • Research involving human/animal subjects requires ethics committee approval, stated in the Methods section.
  • All authors must consent to authorship and disclose conflicts of interest.

6. Peer Review

EAJET follows a double-blind peer review process. Manuscripts are first screened by an editor for scope/quality, then sent to at least two independent reviewers. Decisions: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject.

7. Open Access & Licensing

All accepted articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license, granting unrestricted access and reuse with proper attribution.

8. Article Processing Charges (APC)

(Insert your actual APC amount/waiver policy here, since this varies by journal — I don't have access to your fee schedule.)

9. Submission Checklist

  • Manuscript adheres to formatting and word-limit guidelines above.
  • Title page submitted separately from blinded manuscript.
  • All figures/tables numbered and cited.
  • References formatted in IEEE style.
  • Ethics/conflict-of-interest/funding statements included.
  • Permissions obtained for any third-party material.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.

What We Collect
In the course of managing submission, peer review, and publication, EAJET collects personal data including but not limited to: names, email addresses, institutional affiliations, and ORCID iDs (where provided) of authors, reviewers, and editors.

How We Use It
This data is used solely to operate the journal's editorial workflow — communicating about submissions, coordinating peer review, and publishing accepted articles with appropriate author attribution. It is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing or unrelated purposes.

Data Retention
Personal data associated with a submission is retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described above, and in accordance with the journal's record-keeping obligations under its publication ethics policies.

Your Rights
Users located in the European Economic Area (EEA) have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of their personal data held by the journal. Requests can be directed to the Editor via the journal's Contact page.
