Journal History

EAJSE published its inaugural issue in October–December 2023 and has since maintained a consistent quarterly publication schedule, growing its editorial scope to include artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT) applications, digital transformation, materials science, and sustainable engineering.

Aims and Scope

European Advanced Journal for Science & Engineering (EAJSE) is a peer-reviewed open access journal dedicated to publishing high-quality original research, review articles, and technical papers spanning the applied sciences and engineering disciplines. The journal serves researchers, practitioners, and students seeking a rigorous, transparent, and accessible venue for disseminating advances in science and engineering.

EAJSE welcomes submissions in, but not limited to, the following areas:

Open Access Policy

EAJSE provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. All articles are freely available to read, download, and share upon publication, with no subscription or paywall.

Copyright

Authors retain copyright of their published work. All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), permitting unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.

Article Processing Charges (APC) and Waiver Policy

EAJSE levies an Article Processing Charge (APC) of [AMOUNT, CURRENCY] payable only upon acceptance of a manuscript following peer review. No fee is charged at submission.

Authors from low- and middle-income countries, or those facing genuine financial hardship, may apply for a full or partial waiver by contacting the editorial office at the time of submission, stating the reason for the request. Waiver decisions do not affect the outcome of peer review.

Sponsorship and Funding Disclosure

EAJSE is [self-funded through APCs / supported by YOUR PUBLISHER] and does not accept sponsorship that would influence editorial decisions. [Disclose any institutional or commercial funding sources here, or state "The journal does not currently receive external sponsorship."]

Indexing

Journal Metrics

Peer Review Policy

1. Initial editorial screening for scope and formatting compliance (1 week).
2. Similarity check via iThenticate.
3. Assignment to a Section Editor and a minimum of two independent double-blind reviewers.
4. Reviewers submit written evaluations and a recommendation within 4 weeks.
5. Section Editor makes a decision: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject.
6. Revised manuscripts are re-reviewed as needed before final Editor-in-Chief approval.

Plagiarism Policy

All submitted manuscripts are screened using iThenticate. Manuscripts with an overall similarity index above 15% (excluding references and standard methodological phrasing) will be returned to the authors or rejected. Confirmed plagiarism at any stage, including post-publication, will result in rejection or retraction under COPE guidelines.

Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

EAJSE adheres to the Core Practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The journal is committed to ensuring the integrity of the research it publishes, including clear policies on authorship, conflicts of interest, data fabrication, image manipulation, and duplicate or redundant publication. Suspected misconduct is investigated in line with COPE flowcharts, and authors are given the opportunity to respond before any editorial action is taken.

Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions are based solely on a manuscript's scientific merit, originality, and relevance to the journal's scope, independent of the authors' race, gender, nationality, religion, or institutional affiliation. Editors do not use unpublished information from submitted manuscripts for personal research advantage.

Digital Preservation

Retraction, Correction, and Expression of Concern Policy

EAJSE follows COPE guidelines for retractions, corrections, and expressions of concern. Retractions are issued for confirmed research misconduct, plagiarism, data fabrication, or major errors invalidating the article's conclusions. A retraction notice is linked to the original article and both remain permanently accessible. Minor errors not affecting the scientific validity of the work are addressed through a published correction notice.

Complaints and Appeals Procedure

Authors, reviewers, or readers wishing to raise a concern or appeal an editorial decision should contact info@esa-research.org with a detailed written statement. Complaints are acknowledged within 5 business days and investigated by the Editor-in-Chief or a designated Ombudsperson independent of the original decision.
